Vinyl Junkie released COWPUNKS, 24 tracks compiled in conjunction with U.K. D.J. legend/fella Johnnie Walker. Vinyl Junkie describes the album as "dysfunctional country roots music."

This compilation is mighty fine listening and a good review of bands making the scene today as well as those who went on before. The V-roys lead off the album with a giddy-up-and-gone version of Roger Miller's "Long Time Leavin'". Mr. Roger Miller is one of the small idols worshipped by members of the V-roys on ritual holy days (see various interviews of the boys in press clips for details).
